  3. When beaten well, firstly add black pepper and then salt. Make sure to add salt at end since it will disturb the foamy mixture. And don't use beater now, mix it with spatula.
  4. Heat 2-3 Tbsp oil in pan. Add the mixture to pan and spread it. Let it cook from one side. When it gets cooked from one side. Fold it from one side and then from other side. So that it appears in rectangular shape.
  5. Cook it well. Then cut it from sides to give it appearence of a fish. Use green part of spring onion to show the fins of fish and use any red pepper or any item available for showing its eye.
  6. Ready to serve.

Canned mackerel (saba kan in Japanese) is very convenient item. We can use it for various menus such as pasta, seasoned rice (mazegohan), deep fried dish (karaage), curry, and simmered dish. Reduce heat to medium, and simmer until reduced by half, then stir in crab and shrimp; keep warm over low heat.
