About Gatte Ki Sabzi Recipe: A delight from the Rajasthani cuisine, Gatte are basically cooked gram flour dumplings which are added to the spicy curd gravy. Gram flour dumplings flavoured with dry spices, steamed and then dunked into a yoghurt based curry is a traditional Rajasthani speciality. Enjoy this dish either with puris or steamed rice.

Steps to make Gatte ki Sabji:
  1. First for the gatte take besan, turmeric, red chilli powder, kasuri methi, salt, hot oil, curd saunf, hing, ajwain & eno soda in a bowl make a soft dough.
  2. Then roll the dough into a log and cut small gatte out of it, meanwhile heat water in another vessel till it reaches boiling point.
  3. Simultaneously in a mixture jar take garlic, ginger, chilli, saunf, jeera, kitchen king masala, red chilli powder, turmeric, salt, besan & curd and blend it into a smooth paste.
  4. Add the gatte to boiling water and cook it for 10 minutes by on medium flame or till they come to the top of the vessel. Then remove the gatte in a plate & save the water.
  5. Now in a pan heat ghee, then add jeera, hing & Kashmiri red chilli powder, then add the water in which you cooked the gatte and mix well.
  6. To the water add the curd mixture prepared before.
  7. Now cook this for 5 minutes while stirring constantly. Also add coriander leaves.
  8. Now add the gatte to the gravy and cook it on medium flame for 15-20 minutes or till the gravy thickens a little.
  9. Serve hot with roti/missi paratha.
